David Gandy For Vogue US January 2009 – "Supermom"
What kind of models would you cast to represent a classic American hero? One’s with classic good looks of course. Though he isn’t from the U.S., British-born David Gandy and American beauty Carolyn Murphy steam up a new twelve page editorial in January edition of Vogue US.
Titled “Supermom“, the photoshoot embodies a woman’s wardrobe for a weekend family escape. Though Carolyn plays the main role, your eyes can’t help but wonder off to the guy in blue & red spandex suit. With 50s inspired styling, it’s clear that this Superman is no Brandon Routh. But, more of the manly and robust superhero that we all know and love.
If a spandex jumpsuit and a striking red cape had the powers to land you Carolyn Murphy, would you be so bold as to wear one?

David Gandy is the definition of a male model. He’s quite a change from all the Cole Mohrs that you see on the catwalks. Cole is great too, but I dunno I just think Gandy speaks to me more. Great Blog!
Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm so glad I came upon Homme Times! I love menswear!
David Gandy is the ideal Superman & I know he's British, but he looks so Italian with his gorgeous tan skin-tone and chiseled body + stunning features! The editorial is pretty lovely for the American Vogue, but isn't it a bit too safe?P.S. I'm glad you loved my header, as I love it too. But, unfortunately I don't know which magazine the Lagerfeld picture is from. Sorry. But, I know the "Milan Backstage Boys: S/S 08" picture is from 10 Men Magazine.Anyways, I hope to read more of your blog and I hope you do stop by more often as I do adore comments
