Givenchy Spring 2010 Men’s

What would fashion week be without the darkened romance we have all come to love as, Givenchy. What’s slightly old becomes new again on the Parisian catwalk. Last Spring you would be lying if you said that you did not all give a care about Riccardo Tisci’s pairing of leggings and Bermuda shorts. Fast forward a year later, Tisci keeps the glorious union alive. Once again in leather and bold print.

With every Riccardo Tisci conjures up and proudly marks as his own, do you not find yourself with a slight urge to own all the footwear seen. Be it womenswear or men’s, the golden gladiator/leather gladiator has now come to play a strong roll within a Givenchy show. This season, studded on white and laced up on black black and glimmering gold pairs.

As Tisci has stated before that he was to design costumes for Michael Jackson’s up coming tour, the designer himself states that looking within the collection you can find hints of inspiration from what would have been his newly adored client.

I'm so sorry its taken me this long to get on this post. I commented the day you tweeted me, but as I was typing, comp froze. Got frustrated since I wrote quite a bit :p Adore the post, now on to the collection. The gladiator sandal… no words. Tisci, for me, has introduced a way for heterosexual men to don gladiators. And, he's done so in the sexiest way ever. I need a pair, and am willing to drop a bit of cash. They're jaw droppingly-brilliant. I adore the plaid and keffiyeh print, mixed with leather and gold. Only Tisci could make this work. I'm not to crazy about the pieces with stars, except for the BAPE-like shorts with leggings in the third photo. I could see myself wearing atleast 80% of this collection on a day-to-day basis.Jesus – gorgeously delicious look and was an asset to the shows perfect casting. His walk on the other hand (I agree totally), was not so hot. Male models usually don't need training for runway, but God help this child. His cuteness makes up for his walk of shame.[K[

i really enjoyed this collection. And i esp. like how he described it, something along the lines of "latino boy goes to morocco."

these are really brave looks, but look great on the models. not sure if mainstream society is ready for most of these things yet though.i think mesh anything for men and leggings is out for the question. mesh tops have to be one of the worst things that hit men's fashion.here is more on the worst things to hit men's fashion. http://bit.ly/ujLjq
