Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 Men’s Looks

Have you, for some odd reason, not yet taken a look at Burberry Prorsum’s Spring 2010 menswear show? You know, the one that was showcased back in June. Well, for those of you that are not up on the latest that Burberry has to offer in terms of men’s clothing, have no fear. For Christopher Bailey has shown it to us again, or for some for the first time gives you a peak, of the genius that is his current collection for the more than a hundred year-old house.

Taking us on a trip down memory lane, Bailey brings back the quilting, the trenches, and even the straps that may have driven you insane a few months a go (in a good way). The straps as that I like to refer to as bondage straps, even though I’m sure that isn’t up the Burberry customer’s alley.

This time around, letting the pastels of the women’s looks that also came down the runway cover for all of the pastel colored pieces we previously saw.

Using the same styling, same models, and ditching many of the accessories that were displayed back in June, you can just call this quick glimpse of menswear a tantalizing appetizer.

I`ll move from left to right for the game:1. No difference2. Difference! Women`s show – V-neck longsleeve with X across chest. Men`s show – crew-neck longsleeve with slightly different hue3. Difference! Women`s show – glossy/high shine on the trousers. Men's show – more of a "matte"/regular black trouser.4. Difference! Women's show – no cardigan. Men's show – cardigan under the trench5. No differenceThat was honestly a tas difficult. We'll see how I do!Onto the collection…throwing in those five men's looks really added a lot to the women's show because then everyone (not only the Emma's, the Mary-Kate's, the Freida's, etc. but the Dev Patel's too!) had something to look at. I'm going to be on the lookout come spring at all the fast-fashion retailers for their interpretations of the fantastic straps. Every Burberry show gets me one step closer to investing in a Burb trench! Bailey boggles my mind by the # of ways he re-interprets the classic trench every season. That two-tone brown trench for the first set of photos has [K]INGCHIC written ALL over it.[K]

Great eyes! I think you got it all right. I think you slipped up and forgot to mention the bag missing in the womenswear show for the second look, but I’ll let that slide. The funny thing is it really wasn’t meant to be a game, but more of a joke…but I actually like the way it turned out. :P
