John Richmond Spring 2011 Men’s

John Richmond‘s rock and rock guy took a trip to Morocco for his Spring 2011 showing. The classic Richmond wardrobe was there, but updated with a refreshing bohemian – as well as rock ‘n’ roll – spin on things.
Besides the royal, bohemian prints and the large check patterns the collection was done in a dark palette consisting mostly of brown. Pops of red and purple added a much needed pop to the collection. The palette was translated to a wardrobe full of clothes that would work from the boardroom (pinstripe suit) to a fun night out on the town (a golden paisley print button down that you could pair with a white leather jacket and your choice of assorted denim). The standout pieces of the collection were the jackets – they came in paisley prints, color-blocked purple, and also with intricate cut-outs.
After last season’s very Autumnal outing, I was glad to see the shift into a very care free Summer collection that is perfect for any facet of a well dressed man’s life.
